Year 10 Work Placements 2025

Year 10 students attending their chosen work placements
Year 10 spent a week in their chosen work placements for the last week of term.
Jack Ferrett attended Winscombe Shoot, Beaminster where he was rearing game birds.
Amber Wills has worked at the National Trust in South Somerset, using her horticultural skills at Barrington Court and Lytes Cary. She has also worked a day with the rangers, making hay on conservation meadows.
George Harrison attended GCS Agricultural Engineers and machinery dealership. He has been involved in assisting the technical team as well as completing his own projects of replacing worn-out cab bolts.
Luca Mowbray attended Rampisham Farm Estate (2,500acres) . Gaining a valuable insight into extensive conservation livestock grazing systems by working in the farm workshop and maintaining farm equipment. Working alongside farm manager, Gareth Beynon Farm.
All year 10 used the skills they had learnt within the land-based learning at Dorset Studio School. Fantastic feedback from all employers.
